Apply to Take Part in Girls Rock Glasgow Evening Sessions October 2019

We’re running a series of FREE Evening Sessions at Glasgow Kelvin College Musical Workshop (1200 Westerhouse Road, G34 9HZ) starting October 8th!

The evening sessions are a condensed, streamlined and music focused form of the Girls Rock Glasgow summer school week. They’re a chance for girls aged 12-16 who may have missed the summer school to come and try out different instruments, make new pals, form a band, write a song and perform it at a showcase gig!

The Evening Sessions will run 6-9pm over the course of 3 weeks on the following dates: 

  • Tuesday October 8th / Wednesday October 9th 
  • Tuesday October 15th / Wednesday October 16th
  • Tuesday October 22nd / Wednesday October 23rd
  • Perform at a showcase gig! (Date TBC)

Girls Rock Glasgow is for anyone who identifies as a girl and non-binary kids. These sessions are currently for 12-16 year olds but we hope to expand these sessions in future to the younger age group.

No previous musical experience is necessary, but we will ask for info about experience just to help our tutors tailor the workshops best to each girl.

There are only 16 places for this course, and applications will be on a first come first served basis.

More Evening Sessions will be taking place during November and early 2019 at Empire Studios (Kinning Park) and Audiolounge (Maryhill). Dates for these will be announced soon via our website and social media.
