Workshop Leaders are responsible for devising and delivering workshops for our young people. Each workshop should last for up to one hour and will be delivered to a maximum of 20 young people between 8-16 years old. Workshop leaders are expected to communicate ideas with the team and present a workshop plan ahead of the school week. The Girls Rock team will support all workshop leaders to plan appropriate content for workshops.
Workshop Support volunteers will assist our Workshop Leaders to deliver sessions with the young people. You must be able to take direction and have confidence communicating ideas to the young people as well as having the ability to engage groups and help make learning fun! Group facilitation skills are important as well as nurturing and maintaining good relationships with the young people and rest of team.
Our buddies play a very important role during our rock school. Buddies are relied upon to check-in with the young people during break and lunch times and are responsible for chaperoning groups safely between workshops and school venues. Buddies are responsible for general supervision and expected to offer friendship and support to the young people throughout the school.

We need all kinds of support to make the school run over the 10 days. We are looking for people to help with everything from technical support, driving, setting up gear, helping out on our welcome desk and people with experience in the kitchen to prepare simple lunches and snacks for our young people and other volunteers
